![]() After I get notes from her, I’ll do last rounds of edits, then publish if that was my ultimate intention for the piece (most of my stuff I just keep on a private writing blog. The “good” part of that, is when I finish a draft, the editing process goes pretty quickly since I guess any super egregious mistake early on! I’ll take a break for a least a day, if not more, and then go back to the completed piece, make any revisions, and then I typically show my work to a beta reader (typically my sister lol, especially if it is a piece that she liked the idea of, or if it’s fic from a fandom she also loves). ![]() It slows down my writing process massively and I’m trying to break the habit. I tell myself that I’m just rereading to get a “running start” on the next part to write, but I just end up obsessing over the wording or what characters should say. So probably my number one vice in writing is that I edit as I write DESPITE MY BEST INTENTIONS NOT TO!! At best, I’ll write a few paragraphs or even pages, and then when I feel like the creativity runs out, I’ll edit it to death. ![]() Something like that.Īhhhhh hello!!!!!! Thank you so much for the ask!!! You always ask such good questions!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ But yeah, the king here would be a hubris, cold man, with all of his emotions bottled, even though most of the folk only bottle one or two emotions that would distract them to keep the order. Or they need to ask permission from the king to have back some. So, they might have like emotion keeper chambers with full of bottled emotions and there would be a holiday that literally just one they when people could choose one emotion they want to have back for a short while. I actually played with the idea that people need to literally bottle their emotions here to stay logical and ordered. But, this isn’t make people happy in this place as you may guessed, though. They also almost the only kingdom that has a working military or a military at all. There’s not a hint of creativity or mess or anything like that here. This palce could be the textbook description of order. A tough, cold person, who wanted to create order from the chaos and bend the world to his will. Which is why it’s very fun that you chose these two, hehe. This place is the complete opposite of the above. He wants to live in the moment, but because of his overdoing in this, he and his kingdom has no future basically. This kingdom is basically poor, because the king always spent all the fortune on making everything look nice, even though there was no actual value in most of it or to make pricey festivals etc. The concept was that, the kingdoms would fully represent the king’s flaws, so this one seems like the most joyous, happy and beautiful place, but in reality, everything is swallow and fake. ![]() This one was where the king got The Jester archetype. To sum up the story, it was about a girl, who discovers this secret Valley with seven kingdoms and in every kingdom, there is a very flawed king based on what’s their archetype’s weakness and desire. The whole idea came from Barns Courtney’s Glitter & Gold song and that I got into Carl Jung and the archetypes in storytelling. But I’ll try to write about everything I remember. There are pretty vague stuff about them, because I never get to work them out. It’s at least three or more years old lol. It’s funny, because this story idea was my first attempt to do something fairytale-esque, fantasy thing as still a baby writer.
